Jesus did not just endure the cross

Jesus did die a horrible death on the cross... but so did peter an many others.but  Jesus not only died a horrible death upon the cross but also had the WRATH OF GOD poured on on him for us. so not only was he tortured physically for us but also spiritually... just think about that for a moment... he had the wrath of God for every sin of every one on him for us... that's true love right there.

2 Corinthians 5:21

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

every moment

We must live every moment to the glory of God. We can never get the time we waste back... I'm not saying that we can never just hang out with friends or watch a movie... or sleep lol, but we must make sure we don't spend more time doing unimportant things than the things we do for God. We must never forget that we can make a difference for God. live every moment for God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

 31Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

legacy

The past two weeks have been really hard on our church and me personally, two wonderful men in our church died one got really sick and the other was just doing what he normally did and just died... but these men were know for their faith and have touched many people,and when they died people rember what they did for the Lord, and it go me thinking if i were to die (and it could happen anytime no matter your age) what would i be rembered for. being sweet,funny,well dressed, pretty, but would i be rembered for what i did for Jesus becase in the end thats all that really matters.  i want to leave a lagacy of my faith and the people i have touched. i dont want to die with regrets of what i didnt do i want to die and hear well done my good and faithful searvent. what kind of legacy are you going to leave?

2 Corinthians Chapter 4

8 [We are] troubled on every side, yet not distressed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

what are you known for?

to often we as christians are known for what we dont do drink,smoke,cuss and so forth...but not what we do wittness, pray, or being accepting of others. is it worng to be known for what we dont do...no but when we arnt known for what we do then what kind of an impact are we making? we need to live out loud for jesus.

Luke Chapter 12

8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

treasure...

hey, we just came back from our ski trip, loved it...anyway on the trip we sang a song called treasure and in one part it says "i would run for a thousand years if i knew every step would be getting me closer to you" we should be so committed to God if that was how we got closer to Him we would be willing to do it. but it means spiritually even though it wont be easy and there are bumps in the road with God we can run the race till the end. and in another part it says "i would swim to the ocean floor for my Lord is the treasure" the ocean floor is DEEP and there is a lot of scary stuff down there but we must always remember that with God we should fear nothing because He will protect us and God should be the greatest treasure in our lives.

Philippians Chapter 3

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

the importance of prayer

OK, so today I'm going to talk about prayer, we are to talk to God like He is our Father and our friend, but often times we pray to Him like He's not really there or cause we have to...i mean do you ever talk to your friend because you have to...no you talk to them because you love them and enjoy talking to them, if you had a friend who rarely talked to you and when they did just did it to ask for something you wouldn't like that person to much...and God has no reason to like or love us but He does and we have every reason to love him and so often we treat Him like a servant not a Loving and Holy Farther so when you pray (which should be often) remember to thank Him and talk to Him the way you would talk to a friend not an far away to Holy to care bout you God becuase he does love you and care about you enough to die for you.

1 Thessalonians Chapter 5

16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

God's gift

Ok so today I'm going to talk about God's gift for you ok so everyone that is saved has a special gift or talent from God every ones gift is different but just like everybody is different but they are all important, so you might have a gift like singing or speaking or listening (yes listening in a gift lol) or any thing but often time we are like well i wish i had that persons gift or i wish i could sing like that person but God has a reason he gave you the gift he gave you so you need to look each day for ways to use it for the Glory of God because that's what its all about.
1 Corinthians 12
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

True Forgiveness

Today I'm going to talk about true forgiveness we've all heard forgive and forget, but if your like me you may not forget, forget doesn't have to mean you don't remember (Jesus truly forgave people but he doesn't forget anything) it means you no longer hold it against them. My youth pastors kids, instead of saying its ok they say i forgive you but its not ok, just because you forgive someone or are forgiven doesn't make what was done ok if you get what i mean, and remember holding a grudge hurts you more then it does the person your holding the grudge against.
Matthew 6:14-15
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
